Nestled in South of Negombo, covering an area of 6000 hectares, Murthurajawela marsh is a must visit on your trip to the west coast of Sri Lanka. Home to 25 % of the mammal species found in the island the marsh boasts of fishing cats and slender loris. Various mangrove plants, flora and fauna give a rainforest atmosphere to this area.
