Mobile Phones In India, Connecting Both The Masses And Classes

Mobile phones in India are sold in thousands. In this dense and diverse set up, mobile phone companies have the responsibility to placate customers of different mindsets. Its not an easy job. As, there are people in this 3rd world country who survive on a limited income. As compared to the developed countries in the west, needs of Indians are way different. Smartphones have established a stronghold in countries like United States but back home in India, customers hailing from the lower strata of society still go for budget phones.

The demand of smartphones in India is usually concentrated in the upper echelons. More than half of Indias population still remains oblivious to the term Upgrading. Upgrading as we know is replacing your mobile phone with a better handset produced by the same company. India is crippled by major issues like poverty, farmer suicides etc. So, it would be frivolous to consider that upgrading has any importance to the teeming masses of India.

Anyways, in this economic inequality, the middle and upper class segment still find a reason to regale themselves. The reason in the picture is nothing but smartphones. College goers and young MNC employees are the people who populate the tribe of buyers. For them, owning a smartphone is a status symbol. They are also driven by their incessant urge of staying online 24/7. Just snatch the smartphone from the hands of a teenager and chances are that you will end up losing your life. I fail to fathom the reason behind this madness. But, this madness is a normal behaviour for many Indians.

Mobile phones also happen to be the most favoured item of thieves. Many metropolitan cities are gripped in the claws of this menace. These pilferers camouflage themselves by dressing up like us. They usually operate in groups. The main guy sneaks up to in a jam packed bus and before you know it his fingers prod your pocket. You only realize that your phone is no longer where its supposed to be when you step out of the bus. Commuters maintain extra caution these days. They keep all their belonging in a bag and the bag close to their chest.

You can buy mobile phones on online shopping portals. You just need have a clear and precise knowledge of the right portal. These portals sell Mobile phones in India at cheaper prices and you get your phone delivered at your doorstep.
