Ways To Monetize Your Free And Paid Mobile Applicationlication Development Projects

IPhone and Android users continue to prefer free applications over paid ones, but mobile applicationlication developers keep seeking ways to monetize both types of applicationlications. The majority of users are not willing to pay for these programs, and mobile developers deeply know this reality. Google recently confirmed that now it also has more than 700k applications for Android devices. iOS Application Store already has the similar number of applications; however over 83% paid applications on both stores have not been downloaded more than 1000 times.

No matter what type of free application you develop or what platform it is built for, it has 10 times more chances of being downloaded than paid applications. The data is shocking but real, and it convinces developers to monetize applications through in-application ads or in-application purchases.

Mobile developers are confused when it comes to choose a monetization model. There are basically three types of models- Free, Paid and Freemium.

A paid application is of course lucrative as it can directly deposit huge money in the accounts of developers, but it is only possible if they have built an exclusive application. On the other hand, maximum users are happlicationy with free applications, and your paid version is going to lose the traffic that a free version can drive. Because of this reason, about 80% free Android applications depend on advertisings for earning revenue.

So, mobile developers give away their applications at free for some very crucial reasons. A free application lets its developers reach more users. It also gives some quality reviews as without them, the success cannot be attained. Expert mobile developers know the basics of monetization. Here are three basic points if you are building a game application for Android / iOS.

If you are building a one-time play game, it should be a paid application

1.If you are building a game application with levels, you can integrate ads and put it on stores for free

If your application wants users to have special features to play the game more productively, you can make it freemium

Building a freemium application is a good idea as it allows its developer monetizing the application through in-application purchases. It is a successful monetization model, but it depends on how exciting the game/application is. Freemium game application wants users to make a purchase to get interesting features so that the game can be played with more productivity. If users asses that they will be able to make additional scores after spending 0.10$-0.25$, the application will succeed.

If your application is capable enough to create a serious requirement, you can offer it as a paid application. When a paid application delivers a high level of productivity, nobody will mind to spend a few dollars.

But even a productive application will not succeed if there are tens of other applications available for the same purpose. The best advice isdo not build such application. But if you still want to build it, make it available for free and monetize through the in-application ad-model.

Making an application available for free does not mean that the application is showing up irrelevant and buggy ads. Make sure that your application does not annoy users.
