Shopping Malls Near Preschool Orchard Road

Once an area filled with nutmeg, pepper and fruit orchards, Orchard Road has certainly come a long way. In the early 19th century, the orchard and plantations began to make way for houses, wet markets and outdoor hawker centers. In the 1830s, Orchard Road was just an unnamed country road lined with fruit orchard, nutmeg plantations, and pepper farms. It wasnt long before that that the plantations made way for residential development, and the street filled up with homes, outdoor hawker centers and wet markets. In 1958, Orchard Roads first department store was opened by a local merchant, C.K. Tang. By the 1970s, high-rise buildings such as Tang Plaza, Plaza Singapura and the Mandarin Hotel had taken root and paved the way for more entertainment and retail complexes. Brick by brick and block by block, towers of steel and glass started to line what used to be mud tracks, making Orchard Road the famous shopping belt it has become today. And with this change came childcare center Orchard Road.

Forum, the Shopping Mall, is a family-oriented mall that boasts a unique mix of stores and eateries. Located at Singapores main shopping belt, it is a mere 5-minute walk away from Orchard Road MRT station. Spanning over 110,000 sq ft with five retail levels, it is home to over 70 specialty stores catering to the needs of sophisticated shoppers and families with young children. One of Singapores first family-oriented shopping malls, Forum offers a wide array of shopping, dining and entertainment options for both kids from childcare Orchard Road and adults alike. With a range of well known local and international stores like Toys R Us, Guess Kids and Ralph Lauren Children, Forum promises a well diversified shopping experience.

There are also a lot of places in the mall that can relate to what the children are learning in their classrooms at their preschool Orchard Road. The main benefit of field trips is to engage students outside the classroom. One theory behind this idea fits alongside Howard Gardners theory of multiple intelligences that says people can learn in different ways. Field trips are more engaging to students and offer true life experiences that are difficult to mimic in the traditional classroom environment. A field trip to the mall could include objectives from math, social skills, reading, identifying fruits and vegetables, etc.

Other malls available for families with children at kindergarten Orchard Road are ION Orchard, Ngee Ann City Shopping Center, Paragon and 313@Somerset.
