Burner SuperFast 2.0 Driver Has a Non-Adjustable Weight Port

And he did it in convincing fashion, 3 and 2, to finish a dominating week in which he closed out all his opponents before the 18th hole, did not trail in a match and made 32 birdies in 89 holes.

"It feels amazing, you know," said Donald, 33, who jumped to No. 3 in the world from No. 9. "I've had a bit of a monkey on my back for the last few years. Haven't won for five years over here in the U.S., and it's a lot of sweat and tears to get to this point. But I broke through, and it feels really, really good."

Beating the 26-year-old Kaymer just one day after he made it to the top of the World Golf Rankings made it "a bit sweeter," Donald said. His solid performance after Kaymer roared back from 3-down after four holes made it more credible.

The TP version of the Burner SuperFast 2.0 driver has a non-adjustable weight port in the toe area and a slightly open clubface angle at address. It also features a slightly heavier 45.5" Matrix Ozik HD6 shaft. For even more distance potential, TaylorMade shaved six grams from the old SuperFast to bring the 2.0 in at a scant 279 grams.

With a small bush behind him, just close enough to be a concern, Donald decided to play it like a regular bunker shot. "You don't really know how it's going to come out," he said. "But it just came out perfectly, released down to a couple of feet, and Martin conceded it."

Donald reassumed control of himself and the match. He birdied the 11th to take the lead for good. Kaymer's bogey at the 12th gave him some breathing room, and at the drivable 309-yard, par-4 15th, Kaymer missed his birdie putt his third miss inside 8 feet.

"No. 10, you were thinking or hoping, maybe you can go 1 up here," he said. "I was on the green, had a good birdie chance, and he was in the dirt. So you think maybe 50-50 that he makes his up-and-down. But if he makes it up and down, I still have a chance to make 3. So we tied that hole. And then I lost 11 and 12. It was a tough one, but that's how it is.

And it was, for Donald, cathartic. Having been branded an underachiever in his home country, England, because his perceived ability outstripped his victory total, Donald was stung two years ago by an article in The Telegraph that accused him of complacency.

Donald took umbrage, but he seethed beneath a seemingly placid exterior. Hence, when he won on Sunday with an airtight display at the tensest time, he celebrated getting the dreaded monkey off his back almost as much as the victory itself.
