GenDel Emporium is an online merchandising firm engaged in selling products of a local brand name "The Simons Design"
After several weeks of brainstorming, deliberating, editing and finalizing, GenDel Emporium is now officially online and can be viewed in Google Search Engine and others.
At the start of the semester, we were told to build an e-commerce site which serves as our project in Bus IT 3 under Mr. Lemuel Clark Velasco of SCS, IT Department of MSU-Iligan Institute of Technology. At first, we find it quite complicated since we have no experience about building an e-commerce site until Sir Velasco introduced Weebly. Later, however, we find it challenging and interesting after exploring anything that we can put on our site.
Moreover, we had a hard time at the beginning in identifying what products are we going to promote and sell until we came across with The Simons Design products. We are very grateful to its owner and staffs for giving us the opportunity to cater their exemplary products.
During the building process of this site, we experienced a lot of frustrations and tiring moments. We even restructured this site three times and the last one was a week ago. Also, we had a lot of sleepless nights doing picture and content editing as well as extra research activities such as finding html codes just to further improve our project. As time went by, more creative ideas have been stuffed and now we can say that this site that you are looking at is by far the most enhanced and a true product of our hard work.
Now, we are ready to put into reality what this project is all about - buy and sell online. We do not intent to stop it all here, as a project, but we hope to maintain and continue this as an official e-commerce site. By this, we mean BUSINESS!!!!
As part of promoting our e-commerce site, GenDel Emporium will be participating at the first MSU-IIT E-commerce Expo that will commence this coming March 8-11, 2011 at MSU-Iligan Institute of Technology Mini Theatre, Philippines.
