1. Avoid fried and fatty diets. Take plenty of fruits and vegetables every day. Fruits and vegetables are rich in fibers, vitamins, proteins, antioxidants and minerals. They are more filling so that your appetite is quelled sooner. They are also low in calories.

2. Soda increases weight. Drinking soda is present in almost all aerated drinks. So even if your are not intaking soda directly, it doesn't mean soda is not entering your body at all. If you want to lose weight in a week, avoid soda completely. Instead switch to lime water.

3. This is another healthy, quick way to lose weight. Most of us are in the habit of eating a lot of snacks in between meals. And many times these snacks are junk food which have too many calories and no real nutrition. The best way to lose weight fast would be to just quit this habit of eating useless snacks. But having said this, it can be difficult for someone to completely break this habit all at once.

4. Most people consume far more food then they realize. One serving of protein equals the size of a bar of soap, or a deck of cards. One cup of diced raw vegetables or fruit equals the size of a baseball. One ounce of cheese equals the size of four dice. You may have to weigh your foods until you can "eye" the proper portion size.

5. Take plenty of water. A normal person should take at least 8 glasses of water per day depending upon the climate. If you are over weight, you must try to take more water to flush down the extra waste and toxic matter in your body. Do not wait to be thirsty to take water. Keep drinking water in smaller amounts to keep dehydration away.

6. Don't skip your breakfast! Breakfast is the most important meal of the day as it provides us with the strength required to carry out daily tasks. So don't skip breakfast, just replace heavy foods with lighter ones; go for cornflakes, not sandwiches!

7. Though certain foods you consume actually boost serotonin levels, causing you to "feel good," refrain from eating by replacing food with a stress-reducing activity. Go for a walk or take a drive instead of reaching for the ice cream. Call a friend you enjoy talking with, or sip a calming cup of tea until the urge to eat subsides.

8. Shall I tell another quick way to healthy weight loss? Do brisk walking for just 30 minutes a day. I don't think that it is difficult at all to walk for 30 minutes each day. Walking is excellent for our body as it exercises all parts of the body.

Sparing 30 minutes everyday for some brisk walking should not be a problem at all for most people. You can even take somebody with you for the walk so that you don't have to do it alone.
