Likewise, if you want to have a wedding in a city park or hotel ballroom, call and get the prices for those as well. And don't forget the service providers. Call florists, photographers, videographers, limousine services, and the like.
As you call the places enter the services into a spreadsheet where you can track the various costs as you get them. When you are done you should have a good idea of the minimum and maximum cost for all of the services that you require to make your perfect wedding. It is at this point that you can make the decision as to whether you can actually afford your full wedding vision.
If you can't even afford the minimum costs needed to give yourself the perfect wedding, you have no choice but to modify your vision. Otherwise, at this point, you have a good idea of the costs involved and can begin to plan your wedding.
