A friend of mine, Dan, met Emily on one of those new matchmaking websites that specialize in dating for professional singles. He worked as a dental hygienist for about a year, and the flexible schedule allowed him a lot of free time. Before her, he exchanged messages with other girls and had a few dates with them. While he wasn't trying for anything serious, he had a good time with all the ladies he met.
It was actually about three months before he went out with Emily. She was new to the site then, so she wasn't very familiar with how the site worked. I sometimes can't believe that he met her online, but with technology nowadays, it's hard not to believe that anything is possible.
