Anna and her friends went about the usual topics of conversation which they had grown accustomed to which naturally always started off with the business of cosmetics and eventually moved on to each one of her friends going in to accounts of their private lives'. This meaning that Anna's friends talked about their personal problems which ranged from health problems connected specifically to their gender to their relationships with men to their children. Anna, for the most part was a gregarious person who enjoyed talking about herself as well as listening to others and what they had to say about themselves. Anna, being one who in fact was a patient listener, always ready to show that she really cared about what others had to say and at times she would come up with a word or two in the way of advice.
Anna felt good about herself. After all it was Friday and it had been a successful day of business. This added to the fact that she found herself enjoying the society of women who like herself felt the same when it came to many subjects which most men never could experience therefore never really understand in the manner she and her friends did; made it all most thrilling. These ladies about her, in fact being the closest she had to being friends and though they rarely if ever saw each other when theirs was not work related; they had in their own way grown found of each other as well as gained confidence in one another. This to the point of being able to tell each other what they perhaps would not have told anybody else; specially those who were closer to them. This factor perhaps being that which made them cherish their time together all the more. As they, who made up a group of 6 females talked just about everything that went on in their private lives that never without exception or at least since they had become close failed to include their sexual lives. It being some of them who talked about their extra marital affairs which they naturally would not have dared talk about within hearing range of anybody else yet felt confident enough with the distance this group provided from those whose ears they feared finding out what they were divulging.
On this occasion however one of the women with whom Anna was not so friendly with started to talk about something which in fact caught Anna's attention for being the first time she had ever heard it being discussed. It was Amparo, who perhaps was the most conservative of them all or the least liberal depending on how one looked at the issue. Amparo, being amongst those ladies in the group who was married and had never mentioned extramarital affairs or at least till that particular evening yet unlike what Anna had known before; this was a virtual relationship. This meaning the kind of relationship which in these days of internet, social networks, Skype and cell phones was very much in vogue.
An "internet affair" if such one could even call it being the kind of romance where two people essentially exchanged romantic messages which for the most part were laced with sexually motivated words and phrases on the above mentioned means of communication yet for the most never met. Of course, it might come to a real live encounter but did not necessarily have to or was it even particularly desired by either. As this would mean taking a step which might change what they had in to something which perhaps they were not yet ready for. In these seemingly strange kind of affairs, there were even those who actually met in person but did not carry on their romance in the flesh. This perhaps due to one or both of them being married yet they managed to practice in words what their body's perhaps wanted to but circumstances did not allow.
