One of the profound benefit of the cleanse diet is that it brings the person to a healthy eating habit. It also provokes to drink a plenty of water and this habits remains throughout life. Most of the low-fat foods are not that low in calories and are mostly processed foods which contribute in a major way to the toxin content of the body. These foods are avoided in a cleanse diet. One of the flaws of this kind of diet is that it cannot be followed by any person. The medical condition is a restrictive factor for the diet. Pregnant ladies, nursing mothers etc should not practice this diet plan. They are short term diet plans, continuing these diets for long term might lead to nutritional deficiency.

Excessive intake of laxatives could damage the heart or the colon. So care should be taken to keep this minimal. Even after the detox diet, the food intake should be controlled. Gorging on any food after the detox would again lead to excessive weight gain. The first few days of the diet might a little difficult with dizziness and sometimes nausea. If serious uneasiness is encountered, then it is recommended to consult a doctor.

Basically, the individuals lifestyle is changed in a detox diet. Care must be taken that this change is kept minimal and does not affect the persons health condition.
