Personal Review - Titleist 909H Hybrid :

The small compact head sits very nicely behind the ball of the ground and even from a small tee peg. The previous 585.H was ok, small and compact but not very hot off the face. The new 909H hybrid looks a little more of a gem and carries the looks of the 909 range in it's appearance, crisp, clean and very hittable.

Titleist's simplistic approach to the design to the 909 hybrid makes it an absolute winner, it looks great at address and when you strike it you get the pure feel and more distance with a high rising soft landing flight. The 19 degree version that we tested was a great success, very similar in distance to a standard 5 wood but had a more penetrating trajectory so more versatile in the wind. The 909H is aimed at the better golfer but it still has that element of forgiveness, so all in alll we vote this classic shaped hybrid from Titleist a real winner.

The Titleist 909H Hybrid has two shaft options that are fiited at stanard but both produce very different results due there charatcerists. Firstly the Diamane Blue shaft that produces a higher launch angle to help produce soft landing shots on hard greens. The Aldila Voodoo shaft will best suit the stronger hitting golfer as this shaft produces mid to low launch and low spin that results in a more penetrating ball flight which is perfect in windy conditions.
