Have The Eye To Check For Flaws On Your Miami Luxury Home

Start from the outside

A good curb appeal can haul in buyers to your Miami luxury home. But with missing shingles or overgrown branches, youre only going to scare them away. Before even addressing the issues inside your home, start form the outside. It is important to make a good first impression and you can do that by fixing everything outside that needs fixing.

Areas you shouldnt forget to inspect are the gutters, doors and windows, lawn, walls, caulks and garden. Make sure that the gutters of your Miami luxury home is in good shape to avoid any water getting into the basement. Also, observe any gaps in the doors and windows they are signs of a shifting foundation. As for the lawn and garden, make sure that the plants are trimmed; scattered branches are thrown out; and prevent squirrels or other critters from entering your home by trimming overreaching branches from trees.

Missing shingles in your roof should also be repaired. If you cant do it yourself or if the damage is too large, consider hiring a professional.

Now, proceed inside

Bathrooms, kitchen and major spaces inside the house should be meticulously inspected. Start with the bathroom. Make sure the toilet bowls dont wobble and the grout looks brand new; if not, re-grout them yourself or, if your budget allows, consider re-tiling. Also, make sure that each bathroom has enough wiring. Bathrooms with a dedicated 15-amp circuit are excellent, but dont do it yourself; hire an electrician.

Dont forget to check the basement and make sure that the dryer vent doesnt exit there. Instead, the vent should exit the building entirely. Next, check for soft spots in walls or ceiling to detect any rotten wood. Most importantly, check for wide cracks, especially those that are both vertical and horizontal. While hairline crannies are nothing to get worried about, get ready to call in an expert for bigger cracks on your Miami luxury home.
