Homework - it's a doddle!

Don't let this bad weather freeze your earnings as well as your pipes! Travelling to work in these bad conditions can be very stressful as well as extremely dangerous, (if you are lucky enough to make it!)

Could you work from home? Many people opt to do so, either with the consent of their employer, or simply by becoming self-employed. A lot more would like the opportunity to do so, but feel they have not got the space or room to do so. This need not be a problem, as you may have an old out-building, a garage or room for a small building extension.

By contacting a good Builder, he would be able to advise you and point out all your options. He would have access toreputable Architects, and if finance were a problem, then he should be able to help you with this on terms you can afford. A good Builder should be able to liaise with the Local Authorities, help arrange any planning permission that might be required, and in general make everything as plain sailing as possible.

Drains, electrical, plumbing and heating work should not pose a problem for him, and if you find he ticks all these boxes, it is important that he can guarantee his work. You should be consulted every step of the way, and he should work with the minimum inconvenience to you and your family. He will advise you on the best materials for your needs, and if you want to be eco-friendly, again he will abide by your wishes.

A good Builder will be prepared to travel a hundred mile radius from base, and this should not affect the original quote.

By working from home, not only will you save time and money on travelling, whatever the weather, it will not affect your earning power. (It would certainly increase the money in your pocket) A small extension or conversion could be the answer you are looking for.

Unlike our school days, homework would become a pleasure! (Remember; give yourself lines if you don't do it!)
