It's a variety show: are these effective laxatives to lose weight?

People nowadays think that getting that sexy body you've been dreaming of can be easily achieved by using laxatives to lose weight. The word "sexy" can be defined in many ways. It can also be portrayed in different ways as it is portrayed in so many cultures around the world. But it seems for most people that the term easily means having a thin body.

Some may be blessed with a thin body due to the genes they've inherited. Some are able to achieve a thin body by eating way less than what people normally do. Some can almost kill their selves with intense workout. While others take in laxatives to do the trick or so they think.

There are a numbers of laxatives out there that are used for curing constipation, hemorrhoids and as some would believe so, for losing weight. Generally, they have to be consumed by mouth and swallowed into the body. Most of these laxatives come in food, oil or medicine form.

Fruits such as papaya, apples, pears and pineapples are known to be food laxatives. They're rich in fiber which is known to help maintaining regular and healthy bowel movement. Some may consider these laxatives to lose weight in a safe way since they're already known to be healthy for the body. However to keep oneself from gaining weight, intake of these kinds of food and avoidance of unhealthy food is a must.

Oil such as castor and mineral both have lubricating effects on the intestines. It simply helps stool slide through the intestines a few hours after intake. Chemicals like magnesium sulfate and magnesium hydroxide can also act as laxatives that make use of water in the body to facilitate bowel movement. Substances like docusate are able to soften stool and bring about bowel movement.

Laxative teas are very popular as well. Though they would taste different from the usual teas, they mostly contain extracts from senna leaves which cause the laxative effect. They are also mostly known as "slimming teas".

The abovementioned could be a few of the known laxatives to lose weight. However, these laxatives' purpose is to soften the stool, make the intestines slippery for the stool or use water in the body for bowel movement. These laxatives weren't created for the purpose of getting rid of unwanted fat or weight. So this should already serve as a warning regarding the bad effects of using laxatives regularly.
