Buy a journal or notebook to keep notes of your progress in. The first thing you will want to write in your journal is your weight loss goals and the amount of time you want to lose it in. For the purpose of this article, this method is to lose it fast. Then you will write down every day what you eat, your activity of the day or if it's a day off and your weight.

Let's take a look at five easy steps to help you lose weight rapidly.

1. Cut out all carbohydrates except fruits and vegetables.

This means cut out eating bread, rice, pasta and all carbohydrates that aren't found in vitamin C high fruit and leafy green vegetables.

2. Eat lots of small portion lean protein.

This means eat lots of lean meat, shrimp, chicken, other fish and other sources of lean protein. Lentils, beans and so forth. Eat small portions and don't eat any fatty protein.

3. Drink plenty of water.

It is always important to drink lots of water but particularly when you are trying to lose weight rapidly. It will keep your body flushed and rid of toxins. It is recommended you drink 8-10 glasses a day.

4. Get plenty of sleep.

It is scientifically proven that if you don't get 7-8 hours of sleep you may actually gain weight. It is imperative to get enough sleep when you are trying to lose weight rapidly.

5. Participate in an activity or exercise at least 4 times a week.

Whether you decide to join a gym or just walk and jog or bike, whatever you decide, do it at least 4 times a week for at least 30 minutes. Also, you want to maintain an intensity that gets your heart rate up and in the fat burning zone.

Some people even exercise in front of their Wii and this is fine as long as you maintain intensity and frequency. It is also suggested you introduce interval training into your activity or exercise. This means if you are walking, walk 20 seconds then jog 20 seconds and continue on. Interval training is great for encouraging to lose weight rapidly.
