Debt Help Forums

Help With Debt are delighted to have launched their own debt help forum. It has taken a while in coming but now that it is here it will be a significant resource for those looking for debt advice, and those with experiences to share.

I will be posting a number of popular feeder topics together with my responses to begin to populate the boards and give rise to topics for discussion. The site will take time to populate as it takes some months for websites to udsate changes and rank new parts of the site, but I do expect it to be of use to many people, who may be seeking debt advice for the first time and who may not be confident enough yet to do that on the telephone.

As with all debt help resources it will deal with the causes of debt, the problem associated with having debt, such as ill health and depression and the solutions then available.

The topics which are likely to be very popular are discussions around entering an IVA and whether it is something to get into for 5 years. The other hot topic will be bankruptcy. I get more calls on this than any other topic.

The bankruptcy route is becoming more popular as it deals with the debts in one hit. Many of those seeking it have little or no assets anyway, as they have used them all over the years to pay their debts.

I will also post and comment on problems that face business and the solutions available to corporate structures. These range from the CVL through to a prepacked sale, whether that be from Administration or liquidation.

Companies are struggling more and more and we can expect a huge uplift in enquiries as the economy takes another hit as the austerity measures kick in and people tighten their belts yet again. If the High Street sees a fall in sales, this will have a knock on effect across the whole of UK PLC

The site is set up so that notification of all questions are raised immediately and real time responses can be given whilst the questioner is still online.
