Gutman, CFO, Farbman Group / NAI Farbman, has been recognized with the 2009 Presidents Award from the Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA) of Metropolitan Detroit. The Presidents Award is given each year by the BOMA president to a member who has demonstrated significant contributions to furthering the organizations mission during the previous year.
Gutman was recognized for his dedication, leadership and service to the association, as well as his ongoing efforts to help shape the commercial real estate industry.
Since joining Farbman Group in 1997, Andy has constantly led by example, demonstrating the true meanings of hard work, diligence and perseverance, said Andrew V. Farbman, President and CEO, Farbman Group. Both in commitment and results generated in this industry, he is second to none. Were extremely proud of him.
Gutman started with Farbman Group as a senior financial analyst more than a decade ago. He has been CFO for the past six years. He has helped to revamp the companys corporate insurance process, conceptualized innovative programs like Michigan Now!, which sought to encourage job growth in Michigan, and was a driving force behind Farbman University, an internal continuing education program for company employees.
A Novi resident, Gutman received a bachelor of arts in accounting from Michigan State University in East Lansing and his real estate salespersons license at Middleton Real Estate in Southfield.
