I read medical journals and do a lot of surfing on the Internet, where there is never a dearth of articles. I have HP laptop that I bought a couple of years ago. Apart from culling out medical information, I use it to check my mails, correspond with other health experts, and do online transactions. I am reasonably satisfied with my PC's performance. It has never encountered any serious problem except once when it refused to shut down. I was really disturbed when the error occurred. Although, I have a lot of patience, I always look for quick solutions to my problems. Therefore, I immediately called a tech support company providing technical support for HP.

The tech expert, answering my call, sought my permission to access my system remotely via the Internet. After getting my go-ahead, he gained access to my system in order to determine the exact cause of the problem. The tech expert saw some traces of an old program that I had tried to delete. He quickly realized that the remnants of the program were in conflict with other programs, which caused the laptop to hang up whenever one tried to shut it down. The tech expert reinstalled the program and then removed it through the 'Add and Remove Programs' menu in the Control Panel.
