A state college located in Miami-Dade County in Florida in United States; Miami Dade College is the largest in the college system of Florida. With its open admission policy and acceptance of African American as well as Cuban exiles it has been able to become the largest college in terms of enrollment in the country.

Brief Background

Set up in the year 1959 as one of the junior colleges, the university gradually evolved into largest non-profit organization in the country. Original campus of the college was located in the Miami Central High School. North campus of the college came up in 1960 at the old naval air base called the Amelia Earhardt field. New South campus of the college came in Kendall. Gradually the college started outgrowing both University of Florida as well as the Florida state University. Finally the Wolfson campus came up in 1973 and the college assumed its new name Miami Dade College in the same year as well.

Main campus of the college is located in Downtown Miami in Florida and it is called the Wolfson campus. Overall the college has as many as eight campuses as well as twenty one outreach centers spread across the Miami-Dade County

The college also started homestead campus helping out students looking for accommodation and not liking to drive to the college all the way from Kendal.
