The mind is so powerful and untapped that I think new discoveries will be on their way very soon.
Your brain can trick you into lifting a car off of someone, it can trick you to think you have a brain tumor in your head when all it is is a headache (yep that happened to me), and it can control your thought processes especially when it comes to weight loss.
I'll give you an example of an old client of mine.
She's great, an awesome person, nice and everything you would expect from a good human being. She has always struggled with her weight her entire life. She has been skinny, fat, average, fat, then skinny again. It's all over the place. She can never seem to get it under control.
She eats right SOME of the time and exercises SOME of the time. The rest of the time, she lets life get in the way. But to her, she is trying to always lose weight and she is trying hard in her mind.
I ask her about her diet and shes eating pasta at night before bed for dinner. That's a NO NO. But she'll say she had some fruit during the day so in her mind she is making up for it.
Then I see her workout program. She'll get on the treadmill and walk at a slight incline. You kidding me? She's been doing that for years. I tell her that won't get her anywhere anymore, but she doesn't listen. She doesn't push herself no commits.
Listen, you ever seen Star Wars The Empire Strikes Back and Luke Skywalker is trying to raise his ship from the swamp? He tries and tries and tries really hard, but it doesn't budge. That's when our cute little lovable Yoda says "Do or do not. There is no try."
That one statement sums up success to me in every way imaginable and it should to you as well. If my old client just DID EVERYTHING the way she should and did not TRY, she would be successful!
In the words of NIKE, you just have to do it! Don't try. If you think you don't have time, then make time. It's not that hard. Wake up 30 minutes earlier to exercise. Plan out your meals in advance. Cook them in advance too so you never have to resort to junk food.
You can do it. You just have to stop trying. Once you change your mindset, you can be successful in anything.
