Will HGH Hormone Help Me Lose Weight
Will HGH Hormone Help Me Lose Weight

Can HGH help you lose weight? Is this naturally occurring hormone the magic weight lose bullet everyone has been searching for? Recently ads on the internet have been promoting HGH as the answer for everyone looking to lose weight. The quest for an easierweight loss solution has some people taking human growth hormone (HGH) in pills, powders, and injections.

Back in 1990 a study by the New England Journal of Medicine study that showed injections of synthetic HGH resulted in 8.8% gain in muscle mass and 14% loss in body fat without any change in diet or exercise. However later studies have shown little or no weight lost. Also note that HGH is not approved by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) forweight loss.

HGH is produced by the pituitary gland to fuel growth and development in children. It also maintains some bodily functions, like tissue repair, muscle growth, brain function, energy, and metabolism, throughout life.

HGH production peaks during the teenage years and slowly declines with age. Studies have shown that obese adults have lower levels than normal-weight adults. And these lower levels of HGH have some people wondering whether a boost of HGH could enhance weight loss, especially in the obese.

HGH has also gained a reputation as a muscle builder, and its use is banned in the Olympics and other sports. However, there is little solid evidence that it can boost athletic performance.

So should you try HGH? I think not.

*The only effective way to take it is by injections.

* It can cost $1,000 a month or more for these injections.

* The powder and pills promoted on some websites are not HGH, but stimulate HGH production in the body. But there is no evidence that this is true.

* Any weight loss has been minimal at best.

* There is a real risk for joint and muscle pain, swelling in the arms and legs, carpel tunnel syndrome, and insulin resistance. In the elderly, the reaction to HGH can be severe.

The [spin]bottom line|truth|realty[/spin] is HGH is not a magic weight loss bullet. The results at best are small and the possible side effects very real. Plus the cost makes it prohibitive even if it was effective. All of us want a quick and easy way to lose weight. Unfortunately there is no magic bullet. Healthy weight loss means taking in fewer calories than you burn in physical activity. Here are some ideas for proven effective and safe weight lost.

Reduce the amount of junk for you eat.

Increase the amount of fruits and vegetables.

Eat clean unprocessed protein, ie: chicken breast, turkey, tuna, lean beef, beans, soy products.

Keep a food journal.

Exercise! Buy a good pair of sneakers and start walking.

Now I know the above ideas are not sexy. Few Hollywood stars will sign on as spoke persons and you won't see ads on the TV or internet promoting this plan. But it works! Yes it does take effort and motivation. No you will not lose 30 pounds in a week, which by the way is not a good idea. It is far better to set a goal of one to two pounds a week.

So forget about spending money on unproven and possible dangerous diet supplements, injections and scrams. Stay with the tried and true even if it appears boring. If you must take some type of supplement tryherbal diet pills from reliable sources and please discuss any diet supplements with your doctor.
