Make Your Man Commit to You Working Out the Kinks

Have you been together for a good long time now and you think it's finally time he upped and made that commitment? Does he already know how crucial this is to you, but that fact hasn't really helped him to move any faster? Are you beginning to fear he might never be ready to make a commitment to you? It's no secret. Guy's aren't in much of a rush to get to the altar. But if you play your cards right, you can have him seeing the importance of making that commitment once and for all.

Make Sure the Time is Right

If two months is your idea of dating a long time, you need to take a breather and really assess your relationship. This is way too short a time to be wanting, expecting or demanding a commitment. The guy is right to hold off.

When exactly is the right time is difficult to pinpoint, but nearing the six month mark, you're getting closer to reasonable. This is the amount of time it takes to really discover each other enough to know if you both want to make that next move.

Make Sure Your Attitude is Right

Too many women embark in a romantic relationship with astronomical expectations. Whether it's because they've read too many fairy tales or romance novels or both, wanting everything exactly as you want it can become overwhelming to the guy who really just wants to please you.

Yet if he sees that his every attempt falls flat, he'll give up and will soon come to see that a future with you isn't very bright. Understand before you take another step that he's not perfect and never will be. Do you love him still?

Then accept him as he is and let him know you do. Not by telling him; show him. Don't get on his back and start telling him what he should do. If you're starting that now, the poor guy can only imagine what you'll be like once he's committed to you.

Show him that life with you will be great and fun. You can also show him how life without you could be like by putting a little bit more of your time into the things you've always enjoyed doing. This will take you away from him a bit, and will get him thinking of the possibility of losing you.

Knowing life with you will be great and seeing that he risks losing that great future with you will wake him up. Before long he'll be making that commitment.
