It is quite difficult to deal with problems, matters, or complications involving the body most especially if it is not external Medical conditions such as congenital diseases and malfunction of the body systems, and other internal illnesses can be quite troubling. And probably one of the most painful and unbearable of these diseases is the common migraine. What is much worse than the common migraine hitting one every so often is what one may name as Hemiplegic Migraines. This is a type of migraine which affects a lot of individuals today so it is important to know how to treat this as soon as possible

Hemiplegic migraine is defined to be a medical condition wherein one side of the brain and the body is affected. It may either be the right-sided or left-sided. There are several sign and symptoms to look out for to diagnose the disease. But before that, one must determine whether he or she is dealing with FHM or familial hemiplegic migraine or SHM or sporadic hemiplegic migraine. The former can easily be diagnosed by looking into the family history to see if the ancestors have had the same kind of migraine. The latter involves looking into several signs such as lethargy, one-sided paralysis of a limb or the whole side, partial or complete loss of coordination of muscle movement, vomiting, and of course, extremely painful headaches.

The first thing one should consider in hemiplegic migraine treatment involves the use of analgesics or pain relievers. The first thing one should do is alleviate the pain of the headache. Try and take Ibuprofen for this. It usually does the job good. Once that pain is away, you might want to take NSAIDS or non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs such as Mefenamic acid to prevent excessive inflammation of the brain and its covering, the meninges. One may also opt to give certain antibiotics to prevent secondary bacterial infections as well as anti-seizures just in case there is epilepsy observed.

Those are the primary hemiplegic migraine treatment one should be able to administer every time he or she is experiencing such conditions.
