The Best Diet for Weight Loss is Meaty
The Best Diet for Weight Loss is Meaty

It's no big secret anymore that the best diet for weight loss involves high protein and low carbs. Since the advent of the low carb diet discovered by Dr. Atkins, this diet plan has gone through many improvements, making the greatest discovery in weight loss even better.

Eliminating Soy Protein Saves Your Diet

Among the acceptable proteins in the original low carb diet, it's been discovered that soy protein actually undermines your efforts. In fact, many people, especially men, can't properly process soy, leading to symptoms similar to lactose intolerance. The reason for this goes into the main reason soy isn't good for weight loss.

Soy has the precursors for estrogen, the female hormone. This may on the surface seem perfectly fine for women, and it isunless you want to lose weight. Estrogen is the reason most women can't lose weight as well as men. Dietary changes to lower estrogen won't make you infertile, but increasing estrogen will make it harder for you to lose weight.

Dairy ProteinA Devil's Bargain

Dairy protein is also a huge detriment to your diet. The protein in and of itself isn't a problem; it's that it comes with a lot of carbohydrates. Lactose, also known as milk sugar, is a simple carbohydrate, and this is the kind that will pack on the pounds.

If you can't make the dairy sacrifice, do yourself a favor and at least change to organic, unpasteurized dairy products. These, at least, will enable you to absorb the calcium that otherwise isn't absorbable thanks to the pasteurization process. Because it's organic, it also won't have growth hormones in it. Just as the name suggests, growth hormones are for making an animal larger, and that's precisely what you don't want.

Your Animal Protein should be Organic Meat

Organic meat is the best possible aspect of your weight loss diet. Animal protein is known to increase your metabolism. The problems most people encounter with meat is due to its processing, not the meat itself.

Organic meat animals are usually kept in pens, fed on high carb grains, and pumped full of growth hormones and antibiotics. The meat itself is often treated with salt and nitrates to preserve it and dyes to make it look more appealing. This all adds up to an unhealthy formula for your protein consumption.

Organic meat, on the other hand, is allowed to roam and graze on grass. It's not injected with growth hormones and antibiotics are only used as needed to keep the animal healthy. The meat isn't treated with preservatives and dyes. The difference in taste, texture, digestibility and weight loss will be readily apparent. This is the latest key element in weight loss and overall health.

Be sure to check for organic grass fed meat. Grain fed and corn fed meat may still be an organic option, but not a healthy one. Both grain and corn make a much fattier cut of meat.
