subject: Nintendo DSI XL Review [print this page] Nintendo DSI XL Review Nintendo DSI XL Review
As a technology geek i like to read up on the latest gadgets and gizmo's, i searched to see if there was a good Nintendo dsi xl review floating around.
There is definitely no shortage of reviews that's for sure, so what was all the fuss about? and is it really worth getting the Nintendo dsi xl over the regular dsi?
First of all i found out the screen size in the dsi xl is over 90% bigger, this i though was a nice addition as i thought the regular screen was just a little bit to small especially if your eyesight isn't the greatest like mine. You can actually see in great detail Mario and Luigi instead of just blurry blocks running around the screen.
It adds a whole new angle to the brain train games, the kids found these a lot more fun when you can actually see what's going on in the screen.
Some of the main benefits of the dsi xl are:
The battery - The battery power lasts up to and just over the 14 hour mark, a good 2-3 hours longer than it's predecessor.
The much larger screen size - It's almost like comparing a tube TV to a flat screen high definition TV you can see the difference a mile away.
The web browser - in this model you can easily let your kids browse the Internet using the built in web browser a fantastic addition.
So far I've only talked about the new features exclusive to the Nintendo DSi XL, if you don't own a DSi already, there are a whole variety of extra features which will be new to you.
Most obvious are the two built-in cameras, one on the front and one on the back. Fun software is included which lets you put lots of amusing filters on your images while you line up your shot; you could give yourself 2 heads or a balloon face for example.
As well as playing with images, you can also add fun filters to sound recordings you make. Change the pitch, speed and even temperature of your recording (well maybe not the last one).
Hopefully this Nintendo dsi xl review has been of some help in deciding if this model is right for you.
