subject: Stop Trying To Build The Perfect Website [print this page] Many of us dream of making our fortunes online and in our quest to generate our online wealth we usually start by building our first website. We spend months trying to build the 'perfect' site that will enable us to quit our job and live the life we can only dream of. However, we quickly discover things are not as easy as we imagined and ultimately the site makes little or no money and we end up giving up disheartened and exhausted.
The reason this happens is because we have put all of our efforts into building the 'perfect' site and this is an almost impossible task. Most people don't realize that a site that only generates one dollar a day in income is a huge success. While this may sound impossible to believe it's true as all you have to do is duplicate this success and build as many 'similar' sites as possible.
Don't spend months and months trying to build the perfect site. Spend a few hours building quick and simple sites that consist of a few original articles that you have written yourself, some Google AdSense Ad's and the odd affiliate promo and then move onto the next site. You will quickly learn what works and what doesn't work and when you discover what works you have struck gold. Then all you have to do is wash, rinse and repeat and build as many quick sites as you possibly can.
The reason you have more chance of success with this method is because you are not storing all your eggs in one basket. Building your entire online business on a single site is a dangerous game as things move so fast online and what can be a successful site can also become a failure overnight. I would much rather have one hundred sites generating me one dollar per day than one site generating me one hundred dollars per day as there is less chance of my business going bust as it would be almost impossible for one hundred sites to become unpopular. Plus if I keep generating new sites my business continues to grow and grow.
So remember that the key to online success is not about building one successful website but finding what works and duplicating the process over and over again. Never forget that even if a site only generates an income of a few dollars per week it is still a huge success.
