One of the services that people sometimes look for in a company is a courier that will have a driver that will help to package shipments.
There aren't many companies in the transportation industry that are willing to provide this type of service simply because of the delay that it brings to their business. The courier industry is one based on a philosophy of faster is better, and if the drivers had to stop at almost every location to help package shipments, it would greatly slow down the time it took to complete the entire delivery route. The only real exception to this is moving companies. Companies that are helping people move from one office or home to another often help with packing and securing of furniture for their clients.
Usually, if your package isn't ready for shipment you will encounter an unfortunate situation that is the exact opposite of getting help with your packing. There are many couriers out there who are instructed by their companies to refuse to pickup any packages which are not packed according to company guidelines, as this may increase the likelihood of a shipment getting lost or broken, increasing the liability faced by the courier.
One area that some courier companies can in a way help with packing is that some of them sell packing material of certain kinds. This way, if you have a standard scheduled delivery run that is made every week; you can pre-order packing supplies to be dropped off at your location by the courier when they come to make a pickup. That way you can always ship in standardized boxes with company issue shipping labels and make sure that your packages are always going to be accepted by the driver. This isn't a service that is offered by all delivery companies, but different transportation companies big and small may offer some version or variation of packing material sales for their clients. Inquire with a company always though before assuming they sell materials, as many do not.
