subject: Liver Cancer - Symptoms And Treatments [print this page]

The liver is the largest internal organ in the body. It is also known as primary liver cancer or hepatoma and hepatocellular carcinoma is a cancer arising from the liver. The liver performs several vital functions. It processes and stores many of the nutrients absorbed from the intestine. It also makes some of the clotting factors needed to stop bleeding from a cut or injury.

The causes of this cancer are found to be; HBV (Hepatitis B virus) infection, which is primary cause for this cancer. HCV (Hepatitis C virus) infection is also responsible for the this type of cancer, alcohol consumption, aflatoxin B1 (it is a chemical) present in some food that has been stored in hot and humid environment.

There are two basic kinds of liver cancer. They are a hepotoma and cholangio carcinoma which is caused by a parasite called a liver fluke. Primary this form of cancer occurs usually occurs in people over 60 years old, and occurs twice as often in men as in women.

A lot of reports suggest that alternative liver cancer treatments have proven to be very effective. These therapies can work along with the conventional treatments. Conventional treatments though are drugs, chemotherapy, radiation and surgery. Though, these treatments have their own side effects. Alternative liver cancer treatment can assist in lessening the symptoms an in many cases reverse the condition.

Symptoms: when the cancer originates in the head of the pancreas, which is the closest area to the duodenum, patients suffer from jaundice and generalized itching. If, on the other hand, the tumor originates in the area of the tail of the pancreas, which is furthest from the duodenum, the tumor can grow to larger sizes before causing symptoms.

Some of the common forms of treatment that we have in the fast and developed medical techniques are biological therapy, bone marrow transplant, chemotherapy, clinical trials, some of the complementary medicines, gene therapy, general treatment concerns, hormone therapy, proton therapy, radiation oncology, surgical oncology, targeted therapies, vaccines therapies and in most of the cases surgeries are done. In every thousand of people all over the world today, we can see two of them are effected by cancer but due to modern technology and proper treatment it can be cured to an extent cut are not able to get rid of the root of cancer.

The treatment that you'll need for chronic liver disease will depend on your specific symptoms. Treatments usually include bed rest, drinking extra fluids to prevent dehydration, avoiding unnecessary medications so that the liver has fewer chemicals to process, avoiding alcohol and eating a well balanced diet.

Further treatment will depend on the type and the extent of disease. This could include medications like ribavirin, lamivudine, steroids and antibiotics. The most important element of treatment will be the patient's attitude and active participation. It is possible to lead a full and active life with this chronic disease if the patient is willing to take special care of this vital organ.

Chronic liver disease is a liver disease of slow process that persists over a long period of time, resulting in progressive destruction of the liver. This can include a number of illnesses, such as alcoholic liver disease, liver fibrosis, hepatitis, primary biliary cirrhosis, primary sclerosing cholangitis and sarcoidosis.

To cure the cells, oxygen must make it to the cells. Other treatments that are oxygen-based like oxygenated water foods and supplements rich in oxygen are not effective ways because they only deliver oxygen to the bloodstreams.

This natural oxygenating substance can be obtained by mail and doesn't cost much. If all directions are followed accordingly, this therapy is safe and very efficient. These uncomplicated therapies you will have to find out, which according to numerous consumers are called "the best cure of all time." But this is not sufficient, and causes a harsh strain on the body. In order for us to produce energy, a strong cell burns oxygen and glucose, also known as the blood sugar.
