Black Veil Brides rose from obscurity a few years ago through the online social networking community called You Tube. The reason for their success is purely based on supply and demand, there has been the biggest fall in the number of high quality emo/rock/hardcore bands emerging in the last few years. This band has succeeded in using highly popular and active online social networking communities like Myspace, Facebook, YouTube and Twitter to amass a huge cult following. The bands video called Knives and Pens was released in June 2009 and has seen well over 10 million views in the last year when the video went viral.
The hugely anticipated album by them called We Stitch These Wounds is set to be released on July 20th and should sell over 100,000 copies on launch making it the biggest seller of the genre for this year. The hype behind this band is completely earnt and we have looked forward to this album for so long. We have been able to get a hold of a copy of the album before it launches in the next month and here are our thoughts.
It is a solid album, each song shows off the bands differing dynamics that have made them so popular. The singer who can't really sing very well, has used digital enhancing to his voice more than T-Pain to ensure that he sounds somewhat credible. If you liked the first single you will love this. Its not groundbreaking but if you can get this album before launch like we did, then you will love it. If there is only one album that you buy this year, you should make this that this that one album. The fans already know that this band is extremely popular and this release will take them to the next level and higher!
