Are The Lose Weight Quickly' Diets Any Good?

It's hard not to notice the lose weight quickly' diets popping out everywhere. We get them in our email inbox with snazzy headlines like "get your best body fast" or "get trim fast". Others would offer the secret of fast weight loss', cut the fat fast' or get the body you want fast'.

As you can see the word "fast" is the most popular word there. It's a sign that most marketers recognize that people want to do things quickly nowadays. Instant or rapid results are where it's at in today's world. In many areas of life this is undoubtedly good and even needed. But does the same thing apply for diets and weight loss?

Unfortunately, for all the impatient people out there, it does not. Weight loss is one area where rapid weight loss will not do, if only because it goes against the natural pace of our bodies.

In fact, rapid weight loss is an excellent way to jump start the instinct of your body to start producing fat. Losing weight quickly can only mean burning much more calories than you are actually consuming. Since increasing calorie burn by such amounts is quite dangerous, reducing calorie intake is the next best, but still dangerous alternative.

The sudden decrease in calorie intake puts your body in starvation mode and it will react accordingly, behaving as though your food supply has run out. So it will burn less calories and store the excess as fat, saving it for the future.

Can you see now why it is self-defeating?

Rapid, traumatic changes will activate, without needing any action from us, the self-preservation instinct of our body which has its origins back in the cave man times. Seasons existed already back then and since our ancestors were relatively inexperienced about cycles and off season food production, there would be times of famine which fine-tuned the behavior of the human body in reducing the need for calories and increasing our energy and internal food storage.

Unfortunately, the bad effects of rapid weight loss diets does not stop there. There are other even more significant bad effects, such as sagging of tissue. In some severe cases, our internal organs can actually become displaced due to the sudden lack of support.

Let's not forget that starving our bodies (which is really what rapid weight loss diets do) can have serious repercussions that come as a result of our body consuming our own muscle tissue for its protein needs. Not that I want to be alarmist, but remember that our heart is a muscle and it suffers from starvation as well.

Losing weight should be gradual process, done using sensible guidelines and within certain parameters. Learn about these guideline and more at our site at www.Best-Fat-Loss-Solution.com.
