Hormone Weight Loss - Are You Deficient

Ever heard of leptin? It is not entirely new to me, but I keep learning more about it. You may have heard of insulin resistance. Insulin circulates in our blood stream to regulate the amount of sugar in our blood. If there is a sudden spike in sugar, insulin regulates the sugar being removed form the blood,or, transformed into stored fat. But we don't want stored fat! And it gets further complicated....

Leptin tells your brain that you have enough fat, you are full now.

What Our Fat Cells Do For US

Our fat cells produce leptin. Leptin travels to the brain, like a messenger. It tells the brain, and the liver, the brain, the pancreas, the thyroid and the bones, what is going on - i.e., we are full. But sometimes leptin RESISTANCE results from our diets and lifestyles. So the messenger that tells our brain -and -then - liver - and then - pancreas that we are full, is ignored. Leptin's normal function fails, and our brain is told that we need to eat more.

So. ironically, the signals from our own fat cells that tell our brain we've had enough, get blocked when we've hit a certain (over)weight. And those signals do not go out anymore. It's almost like everything works in reverse - instead of preserving

us, it uses us up faster - we age faster.

Further more, the leptin gets piggy-backed by CRP (C-reactive Protein) which is a signal for all-over inflammation in the body. Inflammation is the beginning of every kind of aging and degeneration in the body. That is why anti-inflammatory vitamins, foods, herbs, and enzymes, are talked about so much.

You can get a blood test to measure your CRP. Eating healthy fats (purified fish oils), avoiding fast food trans fats, empty calorie carbs, and exercising can reverse many aging challenges.
