The Quilted Crib Mattress Pad from Continental features two layers of quilted, cushiony padding. The product is designed to provide a soft sleeping surface for the newest person in your family.

The pad is a two in one reversible; there is a quilted teddy bear pattern on both sides. And the pad has a built-in, waterproof inside layer that protects the crib mattress and baby. It also has a form-fitting, wraparound skirt which secures to virtually all standard-size cribs (28" x 52") and toddler beds. The product is fairly durable and provides good stain resistance. Care calls for machine washing on a warm, gentle cycle, and tumble-drying on a low setting.

I find this mattress pad to be quite good. Based on my experience with this product, I don't think that a person necessarily needs to spend a lot of money on a pad. This one is reasonably priced, and yet it is durable, soft, and easy to care for. In addition, it does not come across as plastic-like, meaning that you don't hear the rustling of the inner plastic layer. The baby can move on the pad without the product making noise which can annoy the baby or the parent. It goes on easy with no snaps or ties.

The product has gone through countless washing and drying cycles, and it has held up well. In fact, I'm about to give it to my sister since she has recently had a baby, and she says that it seems almost like new.

Also, while the pad is soft, it is not too soft. In other words, you don't really have to worry about the baby sinking too far into the product and not being able to breath properly. But at the same time, it is soft enough to provide a really comfortable sleep surface for a baby.

Some owners say that you can get a crib pad for less cost than this one. And this may be true. But I believe that overall, this is a good value because I think that the product will be useful through at least a few years of regular use.
