Top ten Destinations in London:

London is one of the most vibrant and gorgeous city in the world. Samuel Johnson once said "By seeing London, I have seen as much of life as the world can show" for there is in London all that life can afford.

There are hundreds of places to visit in London but the top ten places to visit if you are in London are British Museum, London Eye, Trafalgar square, Buckingham Palace, Tower Bridge, Big Ben, Parliament house, National History Museum, Madame Tussauds, and Westminster abbey.

British Museum is one of the greatest museums in the world dedicated to human history and culture. It stores 7 million artifacts' from prehistoric times representing every period of history from the Vikings to the Romans to the Egyptians and Medieval Europe. If you want to go through the entire museum then it might take you a week to finish..:)

London Eye is a giant wheel which carries 32 egg-shaped passenger capsules. It offers visitors spectacular views of London. It is one of the most visited places in UK. Around 3.5 million visitors visit London Eye every year. It is located in the South Bank of the river Thames.

Trafalgar Square is a square in central London filled with pigeons and it is one of the most popular destinations in UK. It is surrounded by the National Portrait Gallery and the National Gallery. This is the principal venue for rallies and outdoor public meetings and is also a very popular location to celebrate New Year's Eve.

Buckingham Palace is the official residence of the British Monarch. Visitors can visit the State Rooms of the palace during the Annual Summer Opening from late July toSeptember. Inside the palace you can see some of the finest English and French furniture in the world with some of the greatest treasures from the Royal Collection.

Tower Bridge is one of the most recognizable bridges in the world. It is a suspension bridge build over river Thames. Visitors can go inside the bridge and can have a spectacular view over London from the walkway between the two bridge towers. Inside the bridge is the Tower Bridge Exhibition where visitors can learn all about its history and how the bridge works.

Big Ben, the 320 foot high Clock Tower is named after the largest bell of the clock. It looks spectacular at night when the four clock faces are illuminated. It is one the largest clock in the world and one of the most famous landmarks of United Kingdom. Big Ben has rarely stopped even after a bomb destroyed the Commons chamber during World War II, the clock tower survived and it continued to strike the hours.

House of Parliament, also known as the Palace of Westminster is the seat of Britain's two parliamentary houses, the House of Lords and the House of Commons. Visitor can visit House of Parliament when the house is not sitting and Members of the parliament works away from Westminster. Tours are not available on Sundays and on Bank Holidays. The tour takes approximately 75 minutes and includes the Commons and Lords Chambers, the Queen's Robing Room, the Royal Gallery and Westminster Hall.

National History Museum is one of the largest compilations of natural history-related artifacts in the world and it stores nearly 70 million specimens covering life in the world. The Dinosaur gallery is one of the most popular exhibits in the museum. Young kids can learn a lot of things about evolution by visiting this museum.

Madame Tussauds is a globally famous wax museum which stores the wax statues of famous people and it has fast become one of London's top tourist attractions. This museum is constantly updating the figures of rich and famous people around the world. You can take part in lot of activities inside the museum like the new interactive tasks such as entering the Big Brother diary room or umpiring an Andy Murray tennis match.

Westminster abbey is a large Gothic church in Westminster (London). It is a traditional site for coronations and burials for English monarchs. Around 1 million visitors visit Westminster abbey annually to see the wonderful 700-year-old building. Inside the church visitors can see 1000 years worth of paintings, stained glass and textiles.
