- This is the most important, you need to know where you want to go. Its like when you get in your car, you know exactly where your destination is going to be. And if you don't know where a particular place is, you may even ask for specific directions. Its the same concept when you want to get in shape. Women decide to lose fat and thats all they want to do, "just lose fat". That is not a real goal. Your goal must be specific.

For example: Instead of saying you "just want to lose fat" a better way of saying it is " I want to lose 20 pounds by Jan. 1 and have a firmer stomach" The more specific goal, the better.

Know Your Body

Before starting your fat loss journey you have to weigh yourself and figure out your body fat percentage. This is a mandatory process if you really want to accomplish your goal. How are you going to get to where you want to be, if you don't know exactly where you are at right now. That is why this process is very important.

Fat Loss Myth

There is no such thing as a fat loss spot reductions. Have you seen on commercials on TV where they advertise fitness productions where it says lose fat just in you belly in 20 days. That is not true. When you lose fat, you lose fat all together. What they don't tell you is that when it comes to losing fat/weight, its mostly based on your diet. No exercise equipment out there will help you "just lose fat". Its all about dedication and hard work.
