subject: Create The Best Summer Coolers Using Soda Siphon [print this page]

Drinking cold drinks is one way of keeping the heat of the summer sun at bay. Each person's preferences depend on several factors. For instance, younger children enjoy iced tea or lemonade after an afternoon of energetic play. Some would bother their parents until they are brought for an ice cream treat at a diner. Adults on the other hand enjoy drinking iced coffee or frozen yogurt from specialty shops or cafs. Unfortunately, these expenses are proven to cut your savings heftily if and when done every single day.

If you want to save cash on more important things, get yourself a soda siphon or a cream charger. Preparing these sweet, cool treats at home will also be healthier.

Sparkling Water

Obviously, keeping hydrated is one of the best ways to feel invigorated during a very humid weather. Although regular iced water will do, shaking it inside a soda siphon will make it more refreshing. Note that low temperature will help carbon dioxide bind well with the water molecules so refrigerate this as needed.

Cold Cream Soda

This is pretty easy to do. Put around six tablespoons of vanilla sugar in a tall glass. Vanilla sugar is prepared by keeping two fresh vanilla beans in a jar of white sugar for a period of three months or more. You can use vanilla essence but the real one will impart more flavor of course. Dissolve the sugar very well in an eighth of a cup of soda water. Add ice then fill the glass to the brim with soda water.

Fruits Topped with Cream

This is one of the easiest and most delicious snacks ever created. Buy fruit that is in season. Great selections that will go well with whipped cream are sweetened peaches, fresh strawberries and very ripe mangos. Make the whipped cream ahead of time with your cream charger. Slice the fruits into small cubes and refrigerate until extremely cold. Squirt as much cream as you want on top of the fruits.

Coffee, Chocolate or Milk Shakes

A tall glass of any of these drinks may cost you more than $3. If you drink this every single day, you're spending nearly a hundred bucks in a month. This is very easy to make at home. You only need a good blender and a cream charger. Put half a cup of milk into a blender. You can use either low fat or full cream milk - it's up to you. Add in the same amount of ice, your desired amount of sugar then either coffee concentrate or chocolate syrup. You can also add your favorite fruit instead. Once everything is blended together, pour in a glass then top off with a heap of whipped cream.

Kiddie Fruit Punch

This is a more scrumptious version of the well-loved lemonade in summer. Prepare your sparkling soda water ahead of time. Combine two cups of orange juice, six ounces of pineapple juice (preferably unsweetened), a cup of apple juice (unsweetened also) and three tablespoons of lemon juice in a huge pitcher. Add a dozen ice cubes and 12 ounces of your juice. These are only some recipes that will keep you cool and your pockets full this summer.
