There are so many ways to lose weight and many ways that are endangering to your health. If you are like me the faster was better no matter the health problems that could ensue. Well after years of dieting, I had to ask the question, is rapid safe weight loss even possible?

There have been so many unhealthy weight loss programs out there. They feed on our need to lose weight now. But let's really look at where this compulsion really comes from. A lot of it is based on what our ideal standard of what a human body should look like. Let's take a look at television actors. Most of them are skinny, and I don't mean that in the "I want to be a size 0" sense, I mean literally skinny. Is that really healthy? And are we comparing ourselves with people that may not be the best role models for healthy weight loss?

Marilyn Monroe was a size 14 and now Jessica Simpson can't be a size 10 without being written up in the media as overweight. I wish I was that overweight. No one needs to judge you for who you are. Do people judge you for having a disease? No they don't. Being overweight, is something you need to handle like any other health situation. You have to take care of it but you don't have to create other health issues by doing that.

Having celebrities take Adderall, which is a ADHD medication which has appetite suppression as one of its side effects, as a diet pill is just another indication of how the media and the entertainment industry has made celebrities desperate to lose weight now. The standard of desirable weight is going down every day. I'm not sure who is creating the standard but it should re-evaluate what it is doing to the general population, not just those in the entertainment business.

What is the solution to all this insanity? It's obviously, not just one thing. But as far as fast, healthy weight loss, there may be a solution. If you were to create such a program, what would you include? It seems it would have to have:
