Six years ago I went to my GP and I was told that I was morbidly obese. I weighed something silly like 19 stone and I was told that if I did not do anything about my weight then I would run into lots and lots of health problems.
I needed to lose the weight and fast. Now, I had no idea how I was every going to do this because I was just so big. I thought that was me and I was never going to change. So anyway, I started looking around for a good diet where I could shed my weight easily and quickly.
I tried just about every diet that I could possibly try and I found that for me, none of these really worked as well as what I had hoped. I tried going to weight watchers, I tried going to slimming world, I tried the slim fast diet, I tried the Cambridge diet I tried the Atkins diet, and I even tried not eating at all and I really, really wouldn't recommend that at all. I ended up seriously ill.
But now, 6 years on from when I first started looking to lose weight I am now weighing only 11 stone. For some people that may still sound like a lot of weight, but for me, I had a dream and I followed it and worked hard for what I believed in and now I can say that I have finally achieved what I wanted to achieve and now I can get on with the rest of my life.
The way in which I ended up losing all my weight was not by no particular diet. I took it upon myself and I decided that I would stick to eating only three meals per day and only having fruit for snacks and that I would exercise regularly. It was quite hard to train myself to only eat three meals a day, and when I felt hungry to only eat fruit instead of a bag of crisps or chocolate. But once I had overcome that initial barrier of getting into a routine it was just plain sailing from there. I mean I had some very good days and I also had some very bad days where I seemed to struggle.
But for me, it has worked and I have never been happier and I would like to share with you my experience a little more. ...
