The term "cougar" has taken its well-deserved place in daily vocabulary. Simple definition for a word cougar is that it refers to the independent and mature women, who like to date men who are younger than they. More and more young studs also like to chase these hot ladies, and if they are lucky, maybe she decides to give "boy" a change.
Before very recently this has been almost exclusively the other way around: young woman with older man. Times are changing though, nowadays strong and self-assured women know what they want, and often it's younger partner.

As me myself being a man, not so old yet, I'd like to share my personal opinion about dating women who are older than me. Most of the mature women I've dated, have unsatisfied marriage or relationships behind them, and are not looking for another one. In my experience, what they want is an energetic man, who can give them attention, romance, sex, and is also able to have intelligent conversations. All my experiences with "cougars" have been nothing but great, and I think that going out and spending time with these Goddesses is like dating the Mother Earth herself!
