For those devotees, worship of all other forms is considered secondary. 12 Jyothirlingas are also known as Dwadasa Jyothirlingas. It is related with the 12 holiest shrines of Lord Shiva which are located at different places in India. For the devotees of Lord Shiva, these shrines are the most important religious places to visit. It is said that all the sins of a person committed in previous seven births is washed off if any person visits all the Jyothirlingas.

You can make complete yatra of 12 Jyotirlinga in just 16 day pilgrimage tour. You can start this tour from Delhi.

1st Day: The Yatra starts from New Delhi. Pilgrims can take a bus for Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh from Delhi. This journey takes about 8 hours by bus. It is preferable to stay overnight at Varanasi, after Darshan.

2nd Day: If you take a bus from Varanasi to Kedarnath then it would help you to reach the temple by evening. You can continue for next destination to Deogarh, Bihar on a bus at night.

3rd Day: You can reach Deogarh Vaijanath Temple. You can offer your prayer there and catch a train by night to reach Bhopal. It is preferable to stay overnight at Bhopal.

4th Day: Go for bus ride to Mammaleshwaram Omkar Temple and offer your prayer there. From there, go for 3 hours journey to Ujjain Mahakaleshwar Temple and make overnight stay there.

5th Day: You can take a train in the morning to Ahmadabad. It would reach the place by evening. You have to stay overnight at Ahmadabad.

6th Day: You can reach to Somnath Temple by bus ride and come back to Ahmadabad. You have to stay overnight there.

7th Day: Catch a train to Pune and it is advisable for overnight stay there.

8th Day: You can have a darshan at Dharukavana Nageshwar Temple by bus ride and from there you can make a darshan to Ghurmeshwar temple at Ellora. Make overnight stay there.

9th Day: Reach to Nashik by hours bus ride and make a night stay there.

10th Day: Have a darshan at Trimbakeshwar temple in the morning and then catch a train for Vijaywada.

11th Day: By bus reach to Srisilam from Vijaywada and darshan Mallikarjun. Catch a train for Chennai.

12th Day: By train reach Rameshwaram.

13th Day: Darshan at Rameshwaram temple.

You have to travel 14th and 15th day. You will reach New Delhi on 16th Day. This tour can be covered in 4-5 days with air travel.
