Let me share with you an experience of wedding which I attended last year, it was an evening event, we arrived approximately 19.30 in the evening,I could seen no one from the invitees at the entrance to welcome their guest, I went in, took my place,in Indian weddings we have segregated systems of seating for men and women. If you are late then you could be sitting with people you have never seen before I had this experience,we had one seat available and a guy came to sit next to me, from introduction I have notice he is a smoker, he wasn't smoking in wedding hall but his breath smell was awful. We were waiting for the key people of-course the bride and groom, and were very hungry as my normal evening meal is approximately at 7.30 to 8 pm,it was beyond the regular time limit,we finished pickles, raita, green salad, water basically all those things that you eat with your main meal,in mean time we chat,I was in difficult situation as guy next to me was talking non stop his story was not annoying but his breath was killing me it was like a dead rat just disgusting I could not even express my true feeling,I was feeling sick
The couple arrive approximately just before nine, on their special day, should say special evening and the final moments arrived we saw the food, the waiters who were appointed for services did not speak well English like me and were unaware of the name of the dishes, it was one waiter for four tables, bad food serving planing,we had our meal, invitees were comfortable they had three waiters on their site to look after them no shortage of food on their table only because it's their event and they are paying the waiters we left the venue invitees were too busy looking after themselves,do they care who came and who left?
Wedding should not be plan like this, if entertement is not in your wedding planing list then fine but what about food? no wonder weddings are borring now days can it be worse then this one
should take good care of the guest from the time of arrival by serving welcome drinks, food chaat stalls, welcome flowers for each guest
