But then something happens - they have an awful day at their workplace, or they have an argument with their spouse, or perhaps they merely get really bored, and they resume their old practices.
They stuff themselves full to bursting, and then some.
They gorge on fatty unhealthy foodstuff that they don't really enjoy.
They munch on so much food that they really cannot move any more.
This is the real world. Such situation do occur.
Nevertheless what REALLY matters, is what takes place NEXT.
Because we're all human beings.
We are never going to be flawless.
We are never going to do everything properly.
We're never going to live in a world without setbacks.
The WRONG thing to do when we stuff over eat till the point of bursting and then some is to say "Now that I have done this, it shows that everything that's gone before is worthless, all the progress I have made doesn't mean anything and so there's no point even in trying."
The RIGHT thing to do when we stuff ourselves full to bursting and then some is to say "Now that I've done this, it shows I'm a human being. But I made some good progress before this happened, and I would be able to make some good progress after this has happened. I could still achieve my weight loss goals, and that's something worth making an effort for."
The REALITY is that its only up to you to choose the RIGHT PATH.
You can choose to be the individual who takes setbacks in their stride.
You could choose to be the person that acknowledges that they are human, and then moves on.
And you could choose to be the individual who decides that a worthwhile goal is nonetheless worthwhile, although progress is not always smooth and straight and handed to us on a plate.
So if you do suffer an impediment, don't surrender.
Just say to yourself - this just shows I'm a person.
But the goals I have are still worth achieving.
And I can and I'll achieve them.
