Wedding planning is most challenging, especially for the people who have little or no experience in planning a wedding. Before you plan the seating arrangements, programs and favors, you need to go through a lot of other things included in the wedding planning.

For those of you who have no prior experience in planning, and have no idea where to start; here are some things which can get you started:

* Budget: This is the most important step you need to take before you start your wedding planning. Make sure you set out a budget before you start choosing the other details of your wedding. You need to know the maximum amount you can spend in the whole affair.

* Date: Decide the date you want to get married on. Firstly choose a month which will give you enough time for wedding planning. When the dates are decided, let your guests know about it so that they can plan their dates and arrange appropriate transportation to attend if they live out of town. Make sure you choose a date which does not come in the busy time of the year.

* Location: When you are done deciding a date, the next step is to decide the venue of the wedding. Do the booking of the marriage halls the instance you choose it. This will give you a chance to book the place in advance and register if needed.

* Theme: To give your wedding a mood you will need to pick a color scheme or even a theme. This sets the tone for your wedding and allows you to decide on the decoration of the venue.

* Wardrobe: Depending on the theme and the color scheme of your wedding, you will have to choose a dress for the bride as well as the groom. Remember that after the wedding you will need to attend the wedding party and might have to change. Choose a dress which you will be able to wear in the wedding party as well as the wedding with few additions and also comfortably carry it.

* Invitations: This needs to be done as soon as you decide the venue, date and the time of your wedding. Send out the invites when you roughly calculate the number of people you want in your wedding. While making the list of the invites, keep in mind your budget.

* Extras: apart from the main things included in the wedding planning, you need to choose the type of music, the food, your vows and think on the little details like flower girl's basket, flowers, etc.
