subject: Dress To Impress - 4 Shoe Trend Men Despise [print this page]

We all want to wear clothes and shoes that make us look great. However, many of us are also concerned about what the opposite sex thinks of the clothing and shoes that we wear. Fortunately, with the tips in this article, you can learn all about the trends that men hate to see on your feet and why.

Before you go out and purchase all of the shoes that you can dream of, you might want to consider the kind of image you reflect by wearing that footwear. Although you may think that you have chosen the best pair of shoes known to man, others may disagree. If you are about to go on your first date, you might want to carefully consider your footwear choices, so you can make the best first impression possible.

Many women will follow the advice of their favourite magazines and high end fashion designers. However, it is important to remember that the advice from these sources does not work for everyone and sometimes, it's just plain odd. For example, some designers and magazines think that being rail thin and having no eyebrows looks amazing; most people will probably disagree with this.

A shoe to avoid is the thigh-high boot. These boots were in fashion decades ago and you may see some celebrities sporting them. However, if you wear them with the wrong outfit, you may end up looking like a street walker and men who are looking for relationships generally do not find this attractive.

Women who have large feet should avoid the pointy-toe ballerina flat. Most men do not find large feet attractive and these shoes will definitely add to the length of your feet. If your feet are small, however, you can go ahead and try these flats out. Otherwise, stick with round-toed shoes.

Many men do not understand the allure of tall gladiators. Many women think that these look great, but most men just find them confusing because it makes your legs look like they have been trapped in a cage. In general, men are much more excited about seeing your legs, rather than legs wrapped up in an assortment of straps and buckles.

You may be tempted to wear clogs because of their comfort and quirky style. However, no woman can pull off clogs and still look great. Avoid these at all costs because men will seriously question your style if you are caught wearing these. Try a nice wedge or a pair of pumps instead.
