ICM has signed actor Brian Austin Green. Currently a recurring character on ABC's Desperate Housewives, Green has also recently appeared on Smallville and Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles.
WME has signed actor Will Poulter, who made his feature debut in the 2007 Paramount Vantage comedy Son of Rambow. The Brit next co-stars in The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader, which Fox-Walden will be released Dec. 10.
UTA has signed TV director Sergio Mimica-Gezzan, whomost recently helmed the Starz miniseries Pillars of the Earth. He has also directed episodes of Battlestar Galactica and Heroes. Mimica-Gezzan was the first assistant director on many of Steven Spielberg's films, including Schindler's List, Saving Private Ryan and Catch Me If You Can.
UTA has signed directorMiguel ngel Vivas. Rights to Kidnapped (Secuestrados), which he co-wrote and directed,were recently snatched up by IFC Midnight. He also wrote and directed the 2002 thriller Reflections.
But in tribute-reel remarks, producer Judd Apatow said Kosse also has been known to make key creative suggestions."He was the one on 'Knocked Up' who suggested we show the baby's head coming out of Katherine Heigl's vagina," Apatow deadpanned. "I want to credit him with that publicly."In accepting the award, Kosse told exhibitors that he envisions international grosses ultimately contributing 75%-80% of global boxoffice, or 15%-20% more than now, thanks to emerging markets."It's well within reach," he said. "When I travel around Hollywood, the first question I hear from many people is, 'Will this film play globally?' "
