A Guide To Phoenix Resorts

The city and the area surrounding Phoenix, Arizona is world-famous for its tourism industry. Visitors from all over the United States (and elsewhere) come here for relaxation and recreation in a beautiful setting where the sun shines almost every day. Phoenix has some of the best resorts to be found anywhere in the world and there are many things to see and do in the area, from golf and tennis to shopping and dining, Phoenix has it all. There are resorts that cater to everyones tastes - besides golf and tennis resorts, there are spa resorts and ones that cater to those who want a taste of the Southwest, with horseback riding and nature activities. Here are 2 of my favorite Phoenix resorts - and these are just a small sampling of the choices available:

The Fairmont Scottsdale Princess - This award-winning resort located in the city of Scottsdale (which is basically a part of Greater Phoenix) is one of the top resorts in the state and offers several options for the sports enthusiast including golf, tennis, swimming and many other activities. The Fairmont boasts two championship golf courses (one of which is the location of the PGA Tour Phoenix Open), 5 outdoor swimming pools and 7 tennis courts. The facility also contains racquetball, squash and basketball courts, a water park, a fitness trail, and a spa and fitness facility. The Catalan is a celebrated restaurant located at the Fairmont Scottsdale Princess and its Sunday brunch has been declared the best in the country by Zagat.

Pointe Hilton Tapatio Cliffs Resort - A recent renovation has heightened the luxury and style of this resort located in central Phoenix near the Phoenix Mountains Preserve, which features 584 suites, all with spacious two-bedroom accommodations. Tapatio Cliffs features three acres of swimming pools, waterfalls and water slides in its oasis, a world-class 18 hole golf course & golf academy, tennis courts, saunas and much more. A gem among Arizona resorts, Tapatio Cliffs also offers award-winning dining, a stunning view of the valley and the kind of hospitality and service you expect from a Hilton facility, making it one of the best of the Phoenix resorts.
