The 1 Secret That Might Prevent You From Losing Weight

I've managed to keep the extra pounds off for a few years now. But it sure wasn't an easy battle. I wasn't overweight as a kid but during my teen years the pounds just stacked up. It didn't seem to matter what I did or how I ate, they just kept coming.

For years I tried just about every diet program that I could find online. Did I have success? Sure, at least with some of them. I even had a year with fantastic results. But guess what.. I always gained the weight back. And not just what I had lost!

It wasn't until a few years ago I learned 1 little secret that neither the diet or the food industry wants you to know. You see, the diet industry doesn't want you to keep the weight off. Because if you did, they would stop making money! And the food industry doesn't want you to know this because then you would stop eating the foods that they make the most profit from.

So what is this secret that they don't want you to know about? Well, it's the effect of sugar on your blood sugar levels. I don't know if you are aware of this but sugar is your absolute, number one enemy! And I'll explain why.

I'm sure you know that you should avoid it to lose weight, I've known that for years. It's because it has so much bad carbs in it. But there is another reason for it, and that's the secret reason nobody wants you to know about. If you eat sugar, even just a small amount, then your blood sugar levels go up. It's nothing dangerous, but what happens is that your body leaves the "fat burning mode" - it simply stops burning fat. Since high blood sugar is bad for you the body sends adrenaline into the bloodstream. This will lover the blood sugar again, but it will lover it so much that the body can't burn fat.

I know it sounds complicated but basically it means that if you eat sugar you enter a vicious cycle of to high/to low blood sugar that will prevent your body from burning fat.

This is why I always gained the weight back. You see, when I had reached my goal I started to allow myself to have small treats. I thought "I eat healthy all day long, I can afford this small 150 cal snack" - but I didn't realize that it would kill the "fat burn" in my body. Making it impossible for my body to burn any fat! Of course I got fat again! Sigh...

Hope you don't make the same mistake as I did once you have reached your goal!
