Cutting Weight to Improve Your Six Pack

Losing weight is often an individual's number one health and fitness goal, yet it often is shelved because of how difficult it is to achieve. It is true that losing weight especially those last 5-10 pounds can be frustrating, but there are certain strategies that you can take that will make your weight loss and six pack goals much easier to attain.

It is important to note that weight loss does not have to be hard. There are no big secrets or shortcuts, but it should not be as frustratingly difficult as most dieters claim it is.

By sticking to the basics of nutrition and following a few simple rules, weight loss can be made much easier and in fact, quite fun. Let us look at two tips to help you lose weight.

First, don't eat carbs. Carbs are used for energy purposes and if they are absent in your diet your body will burn fat. Cut out the bagels, cereal, rice, bread, and other grains. Carbs also make your body store extra water, making you seem bloated.

Instead of carbs, eat more protein and fat to make up your additional daily calories. Try to consume less than 100 grams of carbs per day.

Finally, make sure the fat in your diet comes mostly from healthy sources. Good sources of healthy fat include olive oil and olives, nuts, salmon and other cold water fish, and grass-fed or pasture raised animals.

By following these two simple tips, and following a good six pack abs workout routine, you will dramatically help your body lose those extra pounds and be able to show off that six pack!
