Is Breast Uplift Surgery Right For You?

The whole purpose of breast uplift surgery or Mastopexy is to raise, reshape and firm the breasts. The operation involves the removal of excess skin and will result in a far more youthful contour. During a breast enhancement procedure, the surgeon will place implants beneath the surface of the patient's breasts. This will immediately add extra volume and result in a much fuller shape.

Over time, and as she ages, a woman's breasts may start to droop. This will mean a loss of natural elasticity whilst gravity, weight loss, pregnancy and breast-feeding will also play an important key role. Bearing all of this in mind, it is perfectly understandable for a woman to consider a breast enlargement procedure or Mastopexy, especially if her confidence is being affected.

The majority of women who undergo a Mastopexy will do so because -

*Their breasts have changed in size and shape after a large amount of weight loss

*Their breasts have become noticeably smaller after pregnancy

*Their breasts lack substance or firmness and have become pendulous

Whilst many women will obviously like the idea of breast uplift surgery, it is important for them to have a good knowledge of the actual procedure and exactly what is involved. The first and most important step will be to discuss the operation with a surgeon. If you have any concerns or questions about the procedure, then make a point of discussing them with the surgeon. A surgeon will also need to know about any medication you are currently taking or any health problems.

You will also need to make the surgeon aware of the results you are expecting; he/she will then discuss this with you in greater detail and determine whether or not a breast uplift procedure is the best option for you.
