Jantar Mantar: Located close to the City Palace, Hawa Mahal is the biggest among the five astronomical observatories build by Maharaja Jai Singh. It was used in the past to study the eclipses, climate, monsoon and other heavenly happenings. Through the knowledge of fourteen major geometric devices one can track stars in their orbits, determine celestial altitudes of various planets and measures time. Structures of this observatory are made of stone and marble with engraved astronomical scale. The majestic beauty of this place has always attracted visitors, scientists, architect and historians from all over the world. Gaitore: This is a royal cremation site of the royal rulers of Jaipur. It is among the known attractions of Jaipur which is often visited by number of tourists. Cenotaph for each Maharaja which was built in his honour is a major attraction of this place.
